As I've been catching up on everyone's life through the blogging world I've come to realize how much I miss old friends. These are some of the things I miss. Who's Who?
-I could read you like a book. Look into your brown eyes and know the exact emotions and feelings you had inside. I learned a lot about life, growing up and deep connections from you.
-Born 11 days apart, we practically shared the same crib. Back then you were the tease. I guess I learned it from you. There's just something about a lifetime shared together. Whether we were always really close or not that's a bond that can't be broken.
-The DR. Need I say more? Detroit what?
-We fought a lot, we laughed a lot. What can I say? We lived together for basically 3 years if you count senior year. We did spontaneous random things that no one else would really get, but you got me. Like suran-wraping you to a stop sign at midnight.
-You taught me how to dance when I'm mad and upset. How to just rock out and be myself. That things don't always have to be resolved with deep conversation and strong emotion. You made up songs that made me laugh and songs that made me cry. Your family is amazing and I learned a lot from them. All the people who hate when I lobster them have you to thank.
-I should be jealous of how you can pull off any hair style in the world and look like a babe!!! But somehow with us jealousy was never an issue, oh wait, except when you gave me that black eye in the first grade for sitting too close to your brother. Ha ha
-Who's to say? Africa.
-Snowcones and you're kids who look exactly like me. I think they are mine actually and you got them by mistake. Gavin especially. Also you are one of the funniest people I know. We just get each other. Born different generations (eons really) but so very similar.
-You always knew when you needed to get to a gas station fast! And the ONE time you didn't make it to a gas station fast enough and I threw up out the window, spraying the outside of your car. You simply took me home, used our hose to clean off your car, and never even bothered to tell all our friends how gross it was that you had to clean up my throw up. And later that day you brought me Jamba Juice.
-Writing notes in a secret notebook and leaving it in the science/ASL room sink. Yo Yolonda?
-Singing together in the back of the HT van while everyone's asleep. And your comments that make me laugh out loud every time I read your blog. "Geez Trees, get taller!"
-Your facial expressions and the passion that we share in music, ie Missy Higgins. And that one time that you fell off a waterfall and I didn't save you.
-The way you're afraid of heights but you will do anything! I love how adventures you are! Climbing down a steep waterfall with a broken arm, sky diving when one of your biggest fears is heights, having to sit down on a narrow bridge because your chaffing and telling people they just need to step over you because you weren't moving.
-Your little stick shift truck we would all pile into and drive around singing Michael Jackson. Plus the way you laughed so hard you would cry. The time you got lots of blankets and put them in the back of the truck and told us to get in the back. Then you drove up to some big dirt piles and ran them over at 30 miles an hour while we bounced around in the back.
-Watching Salad Fingers secretly at work. You telling me about the mission in Mexico and laughing when I'd ask what you thought Christian was doing at that exact moment, and interpreting my letters when he used non-english words like "planched".
-Climbing trees in your front yard, going to Lake Powell, riding scooters to kohlers from your house to get drinks, you promising me you'll make me some tatoo shoes for my baby if I ever have one (that was just a reminder really).
-Playing at your moms pre school. Your birthday party and our bubble gum blowing contest. Me making you do back flips and back hand springs because I thought it was so cool.
-Your awesome laugh, your amazing decorating skills and all your vinyl lettering in your cute house. Your strength when you live alone with just your dog while your husband fights for our country, and how you always laugh at my stupid jokes to make me feel good.
-Your sense of humor. You make the funniest jokes with a straight face and I never know if you're joking or not. Being Erika's cousin I should know that you're rarely serious but still sometimes I don't know. That one time you and my brother pretended you were engaged when we went to JCWs.

Family
I'm grateful for;
A Mom and Dad who taught me one of the most powerful types of love.
A beautiful sister who prayed for me before I was born and could be my twin! ;)
Two little sisters who teach me about strength and endurance.
A brother who used to stay up until 1 am playing cars with me and who would hug me extra long to let me know he loves me.
A brother who is always looking out for me and helps me believe that anything is possible!
A brother who teaches me about patience and kindness, probably the most patient person in our family besides mom!
A sister in law who is sweet and reserved unlike the rest of us. She's a breath of fresh air in our family!
A brother in law who has always had the strength and faith to do what he knows is right.
Nieces and Nephews that make me feel a happiness that no one else could!
And a Husband who has been my very best friend since the 9th grade, who is patient, kind, selfless, loving, determined, hard working, good looking, athletic, sweet............

News Feed!

This weekend..
Chrish and I decided to take a little vay cay to St. George and Vegas. It was a real treat. We went and saw Parachute and Secondhand Serenade in concert and it was really good. I actually enjoyed the opening band (parachute) the most. They were great. Anyway not a lot of pics cause it was mainly some "get away and be alone" time for me and Christian and we didn't want the cameras in our face like they always are with the paparazzi following us around all the time so... sorry.
